| Can You Find a Match for Your Family? |
|
Bellflower, CA - May 6, 2008 - FamilyIgloo is the site where families get the summaries of the latest "digg-ed" online article and where they connect, share and meet up. FamliyIgloo had a successful first public appearance at the Orange County
Youth Exp where more than 200 new members signed up. Dr Gholmieh is very optimistic. He says that his social network is growing. He is also in the process of introducing a free Meetup for families. Since Meetup is charging 12$/month to host a group, Dr Gholmieh hopes to attract more audience by offering it for free. FamilyIgloo offers the first of a kind search engine that can double match any family with a compatible one. The search engine was introduced in late February and is currently fully functional. Whether the family unit is formed of a single dad, a single mom, non-married or married couple, FamilyIgloo offers the ability to match it with a compatible counterpart. The founder, Dr Gholmieh, says that the idea of double matching emerged from his personal experiences. Many times, his wife drags him to meet new couples only to find that women were compatible but not the men or vice versa. He created a search engine similar to Yahoo and eHarmony personals and added the characteristics of both couples. The results were quite interesting. Some couples share the same political agenda and personality traits while others differ sharply. It is true that opposites attract? What about families? Do opposite couples attract? Dr Gholmieh is not certain. “We need a larger number in order to optimize our search engine”, he said. | About Family Igloo The Family Igloo mission can be summarized as "Stay connected to your family and get connected to new compatible families". The need for such a website arises from our daily struggle and current life styles. People have lost the sense of community in big cities, and young couples with young children have limited time to connect with their own families and new interesting families. We hope that this site will allow families to enforce long distance ties, get to know their neighborhood, find families with similar outdoor/indoor hobbies, and share photos, videos and precious moments with selected members. We also hope that families will get to meet each other in a SECURE environment such as family excursions, park barbecues, dinning out, birthday parties, hiking together, mom's night out, father's night out, and toys exchange/resale. Unique Features * The user profile is family oriented and structured No sensitive information are or will be required such as SSN, address, date of birth, and credit card numbers * Matching Algorithm (coming soon!)
