Maple Leaf Fitness Releases MapleFit

Intuitive and capable fitness software

Los Lunas, NM - June 25, 2008 -  Maple Leaf Fitness has just release MapleFit, an intuitive and capable fitness planner.  Most people know that planning and tracking their exercise assists them in reaching their goals; though, they also know that this often consumes more energy than exercising.  This has changed.  With MapleFit, one can define their workouts, goals, and track metrics in minutes.

"Many fitness services are web based and will build a workout for you automatically.  When you have an automated system defining your activities, you lose focus.  Injury and lolling are likely results.  We wanted to create a tool that would allow an individual to quickly and easily build their own workout," says Hendrik, the founder of Maple Leaf Fitness.  This software runs locally on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista computers, which makes for a quick and responsive user interface.  A user's data is stored in a single file and is easy to carry on a flash drive.

The company promotes developing a week's worth of workouts, and printing them.  When planning the next week's activities, record any notes from the previous week and then repeat the process.  This approach is effective and avoids the need to fiddle with electronics in the gym.  When planning one’s activities, the software displays historical information as well as future goals to allow a user to quickly assess their progress and immediate activities.  Defining and working towards fitness goals has never been easier.

The application allows defining any mix of activities such as weight lifting, running, and swimming as well as many others.  Aside from planning and recording fitness activities, the software provides features for recording personal measurements such as weight and blood pressure.  In addition, one can record their competition events, injuries, and even a series of photographs.  It has enough features to support amateur athletes as well as those who just want to improve their physique.

The software is available for a 30 day trial from the company’s web site.  To continue using the product there is a $15 registration fee, which includes one year of free software upgrades.

Maple Leaf Fitness is a privately held company based in New Mexico.  MapleFit is their first product.
