San Diego, California - August
26, 2009 -- Don-Janais
Designer Showroom is going out of business and will soon
close its doors forever. Founded in 1981 by Donna Vinton and
Jan Toft, Don-Janais has been a destination for interior
designers looking for the finest home furnishings for their
clients. Offering products from such well-known
manufacturers as Maitland Smith, Marge Carson, Theodore
Alexander, Sherrill, Ferguson Copeland, Barcalounger,
Bernhardt, and many others. They also offer thousands of
one-of-a-kind fine handmade oriental rugs.
"The Don-Janais going-out-of-business total liquidation will
begin on August 27th," said Donna Vinton co-owner of Don-Janais
with partner Jan Toft. This magnificent showroom located in
the designer district has never before been open to the
general public. Business has been conducted exclusively with
interior designers and their clients. Now that the decision
to close has been made the general public will have a unique
opportunity to see and buy the finest quality home
furnishings for the first time, at discounts below
wholesale. Vinton went on to say, "We have reductions of up
to 75% on every item in the store. Over $2 million of home
furnishings and handmade rugs will be sold as quickly as
possible at the lowest prices in the area." Vinton
continues, "Every item in the multi-million dollar inventory
will be sold, regardless of cost...This is a wall-to-wall
total liquidation."
The decision to close the showroom was made by Vinton, who
has revealed plans for the closing event. In announcing the
closing, Vinton stated, "The decision to close has been a
difficult one. Don-Janais, Donna and her husband, Warren
Vinton, former head football Coach at Helix High School have
been a part of the history in San Diego most of their lives.
"There comes a time to move on, and we will miss the
relationships we have built over the years.”
According to Vinton, the total liquidation event will allow
them a special opportunity to serve area residents and to
say thanks for the memories by offering local residents the
lowest prices ever. Vinton said, "We have been so gratified
by the wonderful support our customers have given us over
these many years. That's why we've decided to have a major
going-out-of-business total liquidation and offer price
reductions that do not honor manufacturer’s minimum pricing
policies. This event will give the area residents the
opportunity to own fine home furnishings and handmade
oriental rugs at once-in-a-lifetime savings, and it will be
our way of saying, ‘thanks for your support over the
years'."
